DataPA provides various tools to facilitate the setup process and subsequent use of the application.

The subject explorer provides an intuitive means to browse the available DataPA subjects (essentially data views) in your system. These are the building blocks from which DataPA queries are constructed. It may also be used to select a particular subject when constructing a query.

The data preview screen allows you to check the contents of particular fields (or columns) in your system. You may wish to check they contain the data you expect them to, or indeed whether or not they contain any data at all. The screen holds a preference for the number of rows to return, so you can inspect the data of a large table without the overhead of retrieving the full data set.
