Using the property toolbox |

The property toolbox allows you to view and change directly any property of the report, or any of its child objects, both sections and the controls they contain. Follow the steps below to access and use the property toolbox.

To open the property toolbox whilst in design mode, select View-->Designer Toolbars-->Show Property Toolbar from the main menu. This will open the Property Toolbox as a panel in the report designer.
To hide the Property Toolbox, select View-->Designer Toolbars-->Show Property Toolbar from the main menu again. |

To change a property using the Property Toolbox, select the item you want to change in the report designer, then enter or select the appropriate property value in the property toolbox.
For example, if you want a text field to use more than one line to display large text fields, select the object in the sections panel, then in the property toolbox change the MultiLine and WordWrap properties to True.
NB Many of these properties are used by the report designer to control the behaviour you specify in the designer. Changing properties using the properties toolbox can cause unexpected results. |
